Three Chairs in a Room Theatre was founded by Colleen Toole in June 2008, on the idea that drama can be created with means as simple as three chairs arranged in a room. It is currently an itinerant student company, giving college and high school students the opportunity to regroup and wrestle with ideas of the past by putting a play on its feet.

Three Chairs in a Room Theatre's debut production, Gone by Charles Mee, was presented at the Firehouse Theatre Project in Richmond, VA in August of 2008.
